The menu is extremely limited. The food was very expensive and lacked flavor. The coleslaw tasted like vegetables hadn't been washed. There was a pretty view, however I will never ever go there again. The best part of my meal was the cocktail I ordered and that still tasted like it didn't have any alcohol in it. But was still quite tasty.

Loved everything about this place. The staff were all very friendly, there is outside seating on the water, the food was AMAZING and the whole place was immaculate. I look forward to going again!
So having a excellent first experience at Jake’s, we decided to go have dinner again the next day. The service was even better than the first day and the food was delicious. This visit the restaurant was busy so our food took longer to meet the table. Overall being so busy the quality was still perfect. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite place to eat in NY. So for that I am changing a 4 star to 5 star rating.
Great food. Great service. Always. Food is local and made fresh with no preservatives. Menu keeps changing to what is in season and creative. Restaurant named in honor of their dog, can't go wrong with that.
Jake’s on the water was a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and most importantly deliciously food. I was a little disappointed when they didn’t have the soft shell crabs, but the entree we got was pleasant.
