There's also a Pokemon GO gym and a Pokestop there, too, as well as a nest that pops out 4-5 of the same Pokemon every 30 minutes, so sometimes it's a great place to hide from the sun under a tree and catch to your heart's content.
With a jungle gym for kids and a slower portion of the river nearby alongside a field of green grass and trees, there's not much else you could want out of a park in the North Country.

Sits back from the road and my kids love that there is a "beach" part as well.
We love this beach! It's got a large pavilion and playground making it a perfect place for family reunions, church picnics, class reunions, etc. The beach is well maintained, the life guards are responsible, the water is always fresh (thanks to the slow moving current), and the scenery along the river is always beautiful. There's unlimited parking within a very short walking distance to the beach, and bathrooms are close too. Let me say it again, we love this beach!
