A bit greasy but the food is always good. Sweet potato fries are great as are the shoe string onion rings. Popular with college kids and families. At the end of the day it's a bar
We were visiting the area for the St. Lawrence family weekend and decided to go to BTB for lunch. We were very disappointed with the quality of service and food that we received. It was mid-afternoon, so we did not arrive during peak business hours, there was ample seating available, and we were able to seat ourselves. We received our drink order within the first 15 minutes of arrival, which our waitress then took our order. And then the wait began...
After our wait of over an hour, everyone in our party had received meals (All had chosen hamburger meals). We received Semi-warm hamburgers with very cold fries. When we expressed our concern for the cold food, the response we received was they don't have any way to warm our food for us, and our only option was for them to make new for us. After our long wait, we just ate our cold food (without drinks) and called it a day. By this time, all of the tables were full in the restaurant, so I can't imagine what kind of service they received.
Nice atmosphere, especially for Sunday Football with several TV's featuring different games. Fantastic burgers. And musical entertainment on Fridays features talented musicians from the North Country
I don't like to leave bad reviews, even if I have a terrible experience. It's not that my visit was completely terrible, it just wasn't good. My husband ordered the lobster roll. It was fake lobster and it tasted "off", to be polite. When we brought it to the waitresses attention she said she couldn't bring us another because they had given him the very last of it out of the "bin". This sort of led us to believe it had turned bad. He decided not to reorder anything and he ate half my sandwich, neither of us ate my fries as they were not cooked all the way. Our drinks were never refilled despite us being there over an hour waiting for our meal, and while eating meal. There were only two other tables, so it wasn't like they were busy, there were 3 waitresses on. We won't be returning.
Took my dad here for lunch while he was in town. It was around 3:00. They were practically empty, and the waitress told us to seat ourselves. She proceeded to tell us we couldn't sit at the table we chose. Fair enough, I guess. It was a big table (although they had many bigger, emptier tables there). We picked a different table and sat down. 10 minutes later, our drink orders had not been taken, although we had seen a lot of the waitresses standing around (one of them eating). After a while longer, we gave up and left. Very poor service. The other times I've been here and actually eaten, the food has been good and the service fine. I hope it was just a fluke, but I'm still leaving a bad review.
During our very long wait, our waitress did not check back to refill drinks and it was over an hour wait before food arrived. First came a bowl of very cold (out of the fridge cold) chili, which had clearly not been heated to the appropriate temperature. Followed by 1 meal. Approximately 15 minutes later the rest of our party of 6 received their meals.
We have visited this establishment on several occasions. We have never received great service, but this was by far the worst, which is why I'm posting this. We will most likely never choose to eat here again, as there are several other locations nearby that offer much better service. It is my hopes that the manager of this establishment takes notice to the service we received and use it as a training tool to better their service.
