All I can say is if its possible to shop around please do so. However that said flying into Ogdensburg Arpt and needing a car means you have one choice for rentals, CountryWide. Received a car with stains all over seats, idiot lights on indicating engine malfunction and reeking of cigarettes. Of course they want you to fill it car up when returning, regardless of the fact that when I picked it up it was well under half a tank. When returning the car the "attendant" had no idea how to return the car. I realize this is a fledgling operation but seriously people, at least provide your customers with nicer vehicles instead of what appears to be junkers that didn't sell on the lot. As soon as another rental car company becomes involved in the new Allegian flight to Ogdensburg the sooner you'll not have to use Countrywide. My recommendation, take time as the renter to look at any other options and to Country wide, take time to give you paying customer a car worthy of being driven.
Called several times to make a reservation on a Monday, buy only was able to leave messages and got no return. Only could happen at this remote place.
I recently rented a 2012 Chevrolet sonic from their location in ogdensburg. The car was filthy, had previous renters food refuse in the passengers seat and what appeared to be at best water stains on both front seats, the check engine light was on, and it had crank windows and crank mirrors. Oh and it looked like a velociraptor took a gouge out of the paint near the gas tank cover. I know they base their pricing off of enterprise in Potsdam, but at least at with enterprise in Potsdam you get what you pay for, a clean comfortably equipped car with no issues.
