We were unlucky enough to get a counselor named Robin Einbinder who is not only incompetent but managed to cause more harm than good.
AVOID like the plague.
I have nothing but great things to say about my counselor, Christine. I have been a patient of hers for years on and off and she's always welcomed me back with no judgement whatsoever. I think you have to have a special bond with your counselor or else its not going to work out. You may not find the right counsellor on the first try and maybe they can recommend someone else that may be a good fit for you. It takes work, an open mind and trust on your part also. It really helps me to have someone to vent to and I know they're not gonna go tell everyone what I have said.
Unfortunately there isn't a professional body that i can report her to other than the owner. So if she messes up your or your child's life you can't even complain to a professional body because they don't subscribe to one.
I go to Kristine and she has help lift me from some of my worse places
She has made unsubstantiated claims and given wildly inappropriate and unprofessional advice. Given not only advice but actual direction (wrong and incorrect direction) to members of my family whom she was not even counselling.
